Howard Johnson By Wyndham San Antonio Hotel & Suites – Hotel near airport in San Antonio

Our stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious, clean, and didn't have any strange odors, which was perfect for our first official honeymoon. However, the bed was uncomfortable and noticeably dipped towards the center severely. The service ranged from incredible and informative to unhelpful and rude. The location was nice but a bit far from the River Walk where we spent most of our time. The dining options were disappointing, with limited choices available.

My stay at the hotel was mostly pleasant. The rooms were decent, although the sheets seemed worn and the laundry area floor needed some attention. The king jacuzzi suite I stayed in was huge and had everything I needed, but I wish I had tried cooking earlier during my stay. The service was friendly, and the staff made sure vehicles were safe with surveillance. The location was convenient, just off I-10 with easy access to east and west ramps, although it was a bit of a drive from the River Walk. The dining options were good overall, with a recommendation for Howard Johnson for a nice breakfast.

Upon arriving at the hotel, I was slightly put off by the smell of smoke lingering in the room and the unkempt pool area. However, after being allocated a different room on the upper floor, my stay improved significantly. I appreciated the spacious room that allowed me to conveniently park near the front as I had an early flight the next morning.
